... A period of unsettled weather with strong winds... accumulating
mountain snow and colder temperatures to northern and central New
Mexico Thursday night through Saturday night...

A series of upper level disturbances will impact northern and
central New Mexico late this week through early next week. The
first disturbance will begin impacting New Mexico late Thursday
into early Friday, followed by a second one Friday into Saturday
night.

Cooler temperatures, several inches of snow accumulation in
the mountains, and a mix of rain and snow in the valleys is
expected during this stretch. In the eastern plains and higher
terrain, bouts of strong and gusty winds can be expected. Some
gusts may exceed 50 mph and encroach upon 60 mph. The higher
terrain of western and central New Mexico is expected to receive
the highest snowfall accumulations, perhaps as much as a foot or
more above 8000 feet.

After a brief respite on Sunday, the active and unsettled weather
is expected to return to the land of enchantment early next week.
Residents and travelers through New Mexico are urged to stay
abreast of the latest weather forecasts and statements. Monitor
NOAA Weather Radio... weather.Gov/abq or your preferred local
media outlet for the latest updates on these changing and
challenging weather conditions.
