OK --- no weed killer on my lawn.... but I do need to mow these dandelions before they take over. Thought I'd get a nice shot of them before the cutting process

The camera was on the ground in the grass, looking up a gently sloping hill in my backyard

This was one of those shots that took a little imagination to compose. Heck, I was mowing the lawn on a nice spring day. Boring suburbia! I said to myself: "What does it look like from an insect's perspective in the grass?" Who would have thought that suburban sprawl and front lawns and "those ugly dandelions" can look this pretty in spring?

The camera wasn't the only thing that was "... on the ground in the grass"! So were you!!! There's nothing like perspective to keep most things in perspective! I don't use chemicals, either, but do employ a long, pointed object made just for such weeds, and remove them and the thorny/thistley things from my yard, because they can wound blind dog noses & feetsies, and I love my very special, visually challenged dog who sees with his heart!

About walcek
walcek Photography has always been a hobby since I saved up babysitting and lawn-mowing earnings for my first SLR back in the 70s as a young kid. I like the random, beautiful things that most overlook in today's hectic pace.
