A severe lack of rain has taken its toll on the Texas landscape. Usually the pasture grass is four to six inches tall and emerald green this time of year. Stock ponds are dangerously low. Numerous wild fires have filled the sky with a smokey haze. No relief is in the forecast.

About goodbi99
goodbi99 I grew up in far West Texas, the son of life-long cotton farmer. Our existence was very much dependent upon the weather. No rain, no crop. Too much rain, no crop. My father never missed the weather forecast on the evening news. I now live in Celina, TX a small but rapidly growing town about 40 miles north of Dallas. I still am very much fascinated by the wonder and power of God's creation. I also admire good photography, especially nature and wildlife. The new technology is incredible. It would be hard to explain to my dad. Create your own visitor map!
