How late in the year does it snow up there?

At least you must only get a ground cover, right?

This may be our last snowfall Julia. (keep my fingers crossed...) But it can happen every month of the year.

It's actually a pretty dry climate, so yes, it is usually just a ground cover.

I think you secretly missed the snow! ;-) Actually this did remind me to have a look at the icehotel (Sweden) webcam, this time of year you can view the slow demise of it during 24 hour daylight.
Here is a 'still' from the webcam!

About katy99780
katy99780 I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I really love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
