I'm no snake expert, but that sure looks like a venomous Coral Snake. "Red on yellow kills a fellow"

the best thing about coral snakes are that their mouths are fairly tiny... so you'd have to stick your finger in there and let him chew on it to get a bite. not like other venomous snakes in the south that can strike and bite. That's what my momma told me anyway.
