That's actually a pretty long-distance shot, and you can tell some of the "waviness" (no pun intended) on straight surfaces like the railings, just from distortions in the air, like looking across a hot barbecue grill.

It's been a while since I took the shot, but I think I remember it was kinda warm out then. Maybe the breeze out on the water would make it nicer.

I actually like it better when it's on the chilly side.
