Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, May 24, 2013. Several storms will move through the heart of the continent Friday, bringing active weather to many areas.
The first of these storms will begin the day over northern Romania before moving into Ukraine and Belarus by the end of the day. This storm will be quite large, and thus will have the capability of producing rain for a widespread area of the continent from Romania through the Baltic States. In addition, breezy to windy conditions are also expected from the Adriatic countries through the Baltic States as the storm moves northward.
A second storm will streak slowly across northern Italy, bringing an area of concentrated rain to the the area, along with the chance of high elevation snow to the Alps. This storm will be small, but will have the capability of bringing strong winds to northern Italy, especially in the higher elevations of the Alps.
Meanwhile, a third storm will move out of the North Sea and into Belgium and northern France. Because this storm will come off the water and over land, it will carry a good amount of moisture that will translate to widespread rain in the United Kingdom in the morning, followed by moderate rain to northern France and adjacent areas in the afternoon and evening.
All of this activity mentioned above will translate to an active weather day for the heart of the continent.
The Scandinavian Peninsula will remain mostly dry as the aforementioned storms will remain to the south.
London will rise into the upper 50s(F)/mid-10s(C), while Paris will see temperatures in the mid-50s(F)/lower 10s(C). Moscow will rise into the lower 80s(F)/upper 20s(C).
