... Wind Advisory in effect from 6 am Wednesday to midnight EST Wednesday night...
The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 6 am Wednesday to midnight EST Wednesday night.
Sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph will develop across the higher elevations of the mountains of the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia Wednesday. Gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible as well. While winds and gusts of these speeds will be mainly limited to ridge top locations... some of these winds could be seen in the valleys... especially valleys with a southern exposure.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
