If you stop to camp overnight at Atkinson Mill Park there's a good chance that you will receive a visit from Elwood Brady.

Elwood goes out to the campgrounds two or three times a day to share tidbits of wisdom with whoever is in the park and to collect aluminum cans. An interesting set of recitations from putting salt on your carpet in order to remove pet stains to how inexpensive, compared to a rear end collision if you didn't know your tail lights were out, reflector tape is gush from his lips like a water over a stone wall. All in the perfect English of an old-school well rehearsed salesman. We recognized right away that Elwood was a special sort of person so we listened a spell and thanked him for sharing.
The locals in the campground didn't seem to value special people the way we did though. They stopped us on the way back to our campsite to let us know that we could call 911 if we found Elwood knocking on our door in the morning sharing more pearls of wisdom. We told them we didn't have any trouble disembarking from a conversation with him, they however passed the point of being hard to disembark from to almost that of a nuscience.

Anyway the Elkhorn river streams over the old mill wall clear and wide just off to the side of the campground and dispite the delay I was able to get some nice sunset photos as a couple of tornadic storms passed nearby.
