The Weather Observer Who Is Not A Forecaster

Continuation from last night; tonight was clear and uneventful

Early this morning at the end of my shift, the stratus came in. I think it was trying to be fog, but it only made it down to 600 feet. This happened very quickly, and the airfield went from VFR to IFR conditions in a snap. And the weird thing was- it was only over the airport. You could see the horizon all around at the sun came up, and people driving to work said that it was clear at their houses, but in the final few miles of their commute it turned overcast and gloomy.

This is the last day of my 4-day workweek at Denver. I work at Colorado Springs tomorrow night. I need some good sleep.
