Affordable Care Act Upheld

I don't know what made the biggest impact: The fact that Chief Justice Roberts followed the constitution in reaching his decision, the fact that Justice Kennedy went off the deep end in joining the dissent, or the epic 10-15 minute FAIL by CNN in announcing and blasting the absolutely wrong result.

President Obama was elected by a huge majority on the point of, among other things, doing something about the 40-50 million uninsured folks in the US who are effectively blocked from receiving even minimal health care. He did something about it. It was not his first plan. Rather, the Congress took the REPUBLICAN plan from the 1990's and offered it as a compromise. That is what passed.

I realize some folks hate the fact that those with preexisting conditions can now get coverage, that women can find realistically priced health coverage, and that kids can stay on their parents plans because of the ACA. I realize some folks hate the fact that small businesses like my own are saving 20-40% on their premiums because of the ACA. I realize some folks still think the ACA is unconstitutional. But despite any of those things, listen up: THE ACA IS CONSTITUTIONAL. No more discussion there. The monkey's dead and the show is over. Get over it. We won.

And now, the narrative can change. We can start pointing out all the good in the ACA. How it is helping folks, just like medicare and medicaid help folks. And to my hater friends, remember one more thing: There are more of us than there are of you, and we are coming out to vote in November in numbers that will stagger the imagination.

The ACA is unconstitutional if Obama keeps calling it a penalty.

I don't like the mandate to but-this is nowhere in the U.S. C.

I know of two working people who died because they did not have insurance. One was a nurse whose cancer came back and she could not get insurance.
She could not pay here medical bills either. She had to settle for substandard care at the county hospital. Waiting for a "welfare" appointment killed her.

Another was a grandmother who had been feeling run down for awhile. She could not afford the tests the doc-n-box recommended. She died.

To all you screaming about "socialized health care" or any healthcare mandate that would give working people that don't get insurance from their jobs, insurance, you are either ignorant or evil.

Good kind people are dying because they do not have health insurance.

If I lost my job right now I would die because I would not be able to get health insurance for my condition.

To all you who would deny others and myself decent medical care; Up Yours!
