One of the problems about living on the Gulf coast is that the whole thing looks like a giant baseball glove ready to catch whatever giant spinning ball of NOPE happens to come into it.

Invest 97L's proximity to the Eastern Caribbean this evening is especially concerning at this point. It occurred to me the other day that I hadn't posted anything to this in over a year. There is something completely and totally unnerving about seeing cars on both sides of a major highway, the road surface completely covered in cars and their anxious passengers.
