Well, on the westside of the state the weather's changed a bit towards the more comfortable... 70's during the day, high 40's overnight.
But, we're still in the middle of our "fire season" and the eastside of the state has those temps in the mid to high 90's with little or no rain in sight. I'll be heading over to the Colville area next week for some work.
I've finally convinced those around me, those who employ me to keep me out of the political issues and let me do my real job. I'm slowly but surely casting off those unwanted ties to people management and getting a firmer handle on field work and program management. Hence, more time in the woods!
However, in late October when the weather really starts to change I'll most likely be buried in paperwork generated from this summer's fires.
So, life goes on. A perpetual cycle.
