Dry and cold again

This has been an odd winter - dry and cold for the most part (very cold for here) but then a few days of mostly-promised precipitation. The other night the forecast was 100% chance of rain - we didn't get any. Not even cloudy! But lots of wind. This morning we are back to 24 degrees here at the house. But, rain forecast for next week. We would sure like to see that! Our home rain gauge is now at 14.88 inches for the season - about half of where we were last year.
