... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 am to 7 PM EST
Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... sleet and freezing rain... which is in
effect from 4 am to 7 PM EST Sunday.

* Locations... Greenbrier valley... Alleghany Highlands and New
River valley.

* Hazard types... hazardous travel conditions. Roads will be snow
and ice covered overnight into Sunday. Traveling will be
dangerous during this time. Visibility will be reduced below
one-mile at times in snow Sunday morning.


* Accumulations... snow accumulation around an inch possible
especially in the Alleghany Highlands of virginia|... along with
a trace to up to a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Timing... late tonight until 7 PM Sunday.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions.

* Winds... south 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower and mid 20s... then climbing into
the lower 30s Sunday afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
