... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM CST this
* timing... freezing rain will develop this morning before
changing to light snow early this afternoon.
* Storm total snow/ice accumulations... ice accumulations will
vary from a few hundredths to over a tenth of an inch. Snow
accumulations will generally be in the one to two inch range.
* Winds/visibility... north winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph
this afternoon and tonight.
* Impacts... untreated surfaces are expected to become icy with
travel impacted today and tonight. Another impact may be from
ice accumulating on trees and wires. With winds increasing
during the day there will be a possibility of tree damage and
isolated power outages. Untreated surfaces may remain slick
into the morning hours on Friday.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
