The Flood Warning continues for the Altamaha river at Baxley. * Until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled. * At 8:45 am Friday the stage was 76.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 74.5 feet. * Forecast...the river will continue rising to near 78.1 feet by Wednesday early afternoon then begin falling. * 74.5 feet...minor flooding of Timber and agricultural land can be expected.

* widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected... with isolated amounts up to 6 inches possible in southeast Georgia.
